DeKalb Bar Celebrates Law Day at May Luncheon

Law Day, officially celebrated on May 1 of each year by bar associations, courts, judges, and legal professionals across the country, is observed by The DeKalb Bar Association throughout the month of May. Annual awards for outstanding service in law enforcement, student essays an the Liberty Bell Award are presented at the May luncheon. DeKalb CEO Burrell Ellis issued a proclamation declaring the month of May as law month in DeKalb County. Law Day was established in 1958 by the American Bar Association to bring attention to the principles and practice of American law and justice.
