Rep. Abrams Speaks, New Officers Sworn in at the June Bar Luncheon

The June luncheon, held this year on Thursday, June 20, is always a special occasion for the DBA as the previous officers bow out and the 2013-2014 officers are sworn in. Rebecca Crumrine is our new president. Scott Bonder is the new vice president/president-elect; Jessica Rock returns as secretary, Jack Fishman returns as treasurer and Denise Van Landuyt is the immediate past president.

President Rebecca Crumrine presented Immediate Past President Denise VanLanduyt with an appreciation plaque for her year of service to DeKalb Bar.

Representative Stacey Abrams (D-Atlanta), our guest speaker, presented a legislative update and a preview of the 2014 session. Abrams is the minority leader in the Georgia House of Representatives and a member of these committees: Appropriations, Ethics, Judiciary Non-Civil, Rules, and Ways & Means.
