The DeKalb Bar membership extended a hearty welcome to our distinguished speaker, State Rep. Dar’shun Kendrick, with an introduction by Len Shigley, at our recent October luncheon.

Her topic was “Rising to the Call: The Need for Lawyer-Legislators in the Legislature.” She discussed the pivotal role of lawyers in the General Assembly, the challenges of retaining legal talent and her experiences working as a lawyer-legislator on the Judiciary Non-Civil committee.
