Lawyers Foundation of Georgia Seeks Silent Auction Donations
The Lawyers Foundation is seeking items for its annual Silent Auction, which will be held June 17-19 in conjunction with the annual meeting of the State Bar of Georgia. The charity of choice for Georgia Lawyers, the foundation serves a vital and unique role in the legal community as the philanthropic arm of the State Bar of Georgia.
The Lawyers Foundation is a 501(c)3 charity, and the annual meeting Silent Auction helps to secure the future of the foundation and its programs. Donating an item to the auction is a great way to get involved in this outstanding program. Proceeds from the auction add to the funds available to support the Challenge Grant Program, BASICS (Bar Association Support to Improve Correctional Services), and to increase the foundation’s endowment.
Donating an item to the Lawyers Foundation of Georgia is a great marketing tool. According to the U. S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the median income for a lawyer is $110,000. The median salary for partners in Georgia law firms is many times that. This is very much a constituency you want to introduce to your product – several hundred lawyers walk by the auction several times a day for three days during the annual meeting as they attend functions, check in with the registration desk and enjoy breaks in the meetings. Auction items vary widely and range from fine dining and vacation getaways, to technological tools and sports memorabilia and events.
