Save the Date for the Great Whiskey Debate

On Tuesday, Oct. 8, the DeKalb Bar Foundation will host The Great Whiskey Debate, 6-9 p.m., at the Old Courthouse on the square in downtown Decatur. Bartenders from five great local restaurants will each make a signature whiskey cocktail for guests to taste. The debate will determine the winning cocktail. Participating restaurants include Paper Plane, Cakes & Ale, Leon’s Full Service, The Pinewood and Miller Union. There will also be a whiskey tasting by Kevin Mulcahy, Master of Whiskey, featuring Bulleit Bourbon and George Dickel Tennessee Whiskey, as well as a wine tasting by Sherlock’s Wine Merchants.

Tickets are $50/person and proceeds will go to support Project S.M.I.L.E., a non-profit organization that empowers young high-school women and educates them on all the aspects of the legal community.
