Sept. Luncheon Speaker Profile: Alvaro A. Arauz

Alvaro-Arauz-headshotWe challenge ourselves with complex assignments of all kinds. It requires us to constantly evolve, which in turn allows us to give better advice. Whether you’re a brave attorney putting up your own shingle, a small firm adding more associates and staff, or a mid-size firm that needs infrastructure re-engineering, we can help. We promote progress through productivity. It’s about results, not effort.” So states Alvaro A. Arauz, founder of 3a. Law Practice Management.

In 1997, Alvaro began helping attorneys improve their law firm efficiency to achieve greater profits with less work. This awareness enriched the quality of representation and maintained competitive legal fees, resulting in less-stressed and happier attorneys. He has worked with the country’s top attorneys in nearly every practice area, making him a quintessential law practice management consultant.

Alvaro believes attorneys should focus on two aptitudes: represent clients and foster new clients. Through processes and technology, he developed ways to delegate tasks that takes attorneys away from these goals. He also believes law firms should inherit two “do wells”: Do well by the client” and “Do well by the employee.” To accomplish that, Alvaro delivers a comprehensive and streamlined set of solutions tailored to the firm’s practice area(s) and growth plan. This eliminates marketing or management sinkholes and affords more time to the attorneys to focus on their own lives.

Alvaro shares his knowledge of law practice management at American Bar Association CLE conferences like the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers in Las Vegas, The North American Law Summit in Costa Rica, San Francisco’s Catapult Conference, Georgia Trial Lawyers Association Annual Conference in Atlanta and law school solo practitioner boot camps. Alvaro also serves on the board of four 501c non-profit organizations, including Georgia Lawyers for the Arts, and is on the host committee for Children’s Health Care of Atlanta’s Tower of Talent.

Fluent in Spanish, Alvaro is able to assist attorneys in other countries, as well as those reaching a new market. Aside from helping many of Alabama, Tennessee, and Georgia’s Top 100 Lawyers and Rising Stars, he is proud to claim top tier lawyers recognized globally by Chambers, National Trial Lawyers, and US News Best Law Firms in America. Alvaro’s clients are frequent experts on CNN and other national news sources.

When not saving attorneys from inefficiencies and keeping them accountable, Alvaro spends time with his loved ones, helping his community or expanding his photography portfolio with his photographs from around the world. His travel photography, seen at www.capture3a.com, has been featured in Atlanta’s Art Space International Gallery two years in a row and has raised hundreds of dollars for law school scholarships.

Today, 3a. law practice management clients seek counsel from Alvaro in every facet of a law firm, from starting a firm from scratch to growing and reorganizing an established firm. Alvaro attributes his success by following the same awareness, aptitude and accountability he has taught to hundreds of attorneys over the last eighteen years.
