Georgia Innocence Project Celebrates 10 Years

This year, the Georgia Innocence Project (GIP) is celebrates its 10th anniversary fighting wrongful convictions in Georgia and Alabama. GIP is a non-profit organization that performs complicated work to achieve one simple but profound goal: to free innocent people from prison. Founded in 2002, GIP uses DNA analysis to overturn convictions when we find conclusive evidence of actual innocence. Our staff and law student interns work tirelessly to help those that everyone else has given up on – men and women convicted of crimes they did not commit.

On October 11, 2012, we will celebrate our success by hosting a fundraising event that will help us continue our work into the next 10 years. This event will be held at The Solarium in Decatur, Georgia beginning at 7 p.m. Tickets are $45 if purchased in advance and $55 if purchased at the door. The evening will include a cocktail buffet, live music, and a silent auction, the proceeds going directly to funding the programs of GIP.

We anticipate a wonderful celebration and your participation is essential in making this event a success. Thank you in advance for your support of our cause as we continue our work, bringing justice to those who need our help.
