February CLE and Public Forum a Well-Attended Success

The CLE and public forum on Feb. 17 at the Maloof auditorium was a success with almost 100 attendees, including members, nonmembers and the general public. The forum was titled “A View from the Bench: Professionalism in the Courtroom.” Speakers included Judge Gregory Adams, DeKalb Superior Court; Judge J. Antonio DelCampo, DeKalb State Court; Judge Elliott Shoenthal, DeKalb Juvenile Court. The moderator was DBA board member Phyllis Williams. Discussion topics included managing the court room and court calendar; appropriate courtroom behavior; attorney preparation and expectations in the court; recurring issues/remedies and current trends and observations. Attendees were allowed to participate and ask questions. Thank you to the CLE committee, Jack Fishman, Marie Watson and Rick Bell, for planning the event and making it a huge success.
