Education and Leadership Day Informs and Inspires

Thank you to all who attended the DeKalb Bar Association’s Education and Leadership Day in December. The event promoted education and leadership for citizens of all ages, while showcasing the DeKalb County agencies that protect our community. William Miller, the new director of Public Safety, began the program followed by several other community leaders who gave inspirational talks on a variety of topics.

Guests browsed the tables hosted by various community agencies. Professionals were there to educate the public about the agencies’ services while encouraging career development and community service. There were Development Sections for participants interested in related careers. The sections included Legal, Healthcare, Business, Education and Writing. Professionals were on hand to educate and encourage participants to pursue these interests, and to assist them in developing plans for success in the future.
